Working from home

Home at its best

Seeing real snow in Brussels is not common. Every year we have some sort of a hail-like thing, but obviously not comparable with the winter in the North. I like snow, it gives winter greyness a very different vibe.

Today was one of those days that we had a semi-decent snow in Brussels. And as it happened, I worked from home.❄️👏👏

Regardless the amazingness, I still prefer working from the office. Half of my team has had coronavirus already. They are full of antibodies. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to work from the office together. Only one assistant per MEP can be in the building. The Parliament came up with a system that if one assistant validates the badge, other ones badge does not work until the first one is out. I find it quite efficient to have bilateral meetings with lobbyists virtually. But meetings with bigger groups need a physical presence. Also, it is so much more efficient to work together as a team rather than going back and forth in the virtual world.

I hope soon we can have a little bit of our freedom back & I can see my entire team. Hasn’t happened for a really long time.
